Today we got a call our narrative summary was back!!!

This is the document we have been waiting on since the first of December and it is finally here!

Ok so this is a run down of how the system works

Step one: Go to the VA and see a doctor that specializes in everything from head to toe. ¬†They make an analysis of Taylor’s current abilities and physical condition while evaluating what types of issues could arise in the future due to his combat related injuries.

Step 2: Send in all the VA documentation in addition to ALL documentation from our entire stay at Walter reed.

Step 3: A board reviews all this documentation to comply a narrative summary. The narrative summary list all of Taylor’s injuries. We have 5 days to review this list with an attorney if you desire and agree with the list or refute the list. If we agree we can sign the narrative summary and head home shortly!!!!!

We meet with them tomorrow morning to go over the narrative summary! Fingers crossed everything looks good and we don’t have to refute anything (this could tack on several months)

  1. Chris says:

Good luck and I hope the list meets what is expected. Best wishes and God Bless!!!

  2. Amanda says:

I have been following Taylors story since shortly after his accident and he has truly been an inspiration. I have recently broken both of my legs, requiring surgery, and it has been so much more emotionally draining than I ever imagined. I keet thinking, “if Taylor can go through being a Quad Amputee with sugh strength, then I can get through this.”

Thank you so much for sharing his story and thank you Taylor for being so strong and motivated.
