HAPPY HALLOWEEN! The hospital likes to make their therapy sessions fun and entertaining, not to mention relative. We spent a few days of OT working on pumpkin carving skills; which is a VERY important skill. Taylor and I have carved pumpkins every year. We always make it into a competition (of course) on who’s design and carving are the best. Right now the score is tied, so this is a big year for the score board. We decided we are going to call the pumpkin he carved in OT a practice round, so technically Taylor has the advantage this year. Don’t worry I am going to bring guns blazing when we have our standoff.

Day one consisted of cutting off the top and scrapping out the insides. Then the tedious task of seperating the seeds from pumpkin junk.

Day two consisted of designing and executing the pumpkin face.

Ewwwwww! I always get stuck sticking my hand in the pumpkin but I’ve never separated the seeds from the gunk….nastiness! I think it’s pure genius that this was an exercise that Danielle could supervise 😉
